Expression of interest: Energy Management Systems (EnMS) Expert Training Programme (ISO 50001)

Are you a sustainability expert, an energy engineer, production manager or a consultant determined to cut energy waste and costs in your industrial facility or your supply chain? Are you looking for practical ways to slash industrial pollution and restore the health of our planet? If the answer is yes, then this training is for you.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with Sri Lanka’s National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC), is pleased to announce the Call for Expression of Interest to participate in the 3rd batch of the Expert Training Programme on Implementation of Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in conformity with ISO 50001:2018 Standard.

Free of charge, the internationally recognized training will run from January to September 2025. The sessions will be imparted by international trainers with decades of experience helping industries of all sizes reduce their energy consumption and production costs.

The course combines online and face-to-face sessions. It also takes participants out of the classroom into their work environments where they are supported to develop energy management systems that are tailored to their company’s needs.

"The training provided practical tools and methodology for conducting energy audits, analysing energy performance and developing action plans that drive continuous improvement. The knowledge is not only helping me in my role as an energy consultant, but it is also equipping me to support clients in achieving their long-term sustainability goals. [It] allowed me to learn from best practices in other countries, which can be adapted to local contexts."
